Shipping & Returns

We are absolutely thrilled to help you in your journey to find the perfect symbol of your love! We pour our hearts into every piece, especially our bridal rings. Since we work with you one-on-one, designing and crafting a ring that is uniquely yours, we are confident you will adore the final result. In fact, it is extremely rare for a customer to request a return.

1. Shipping & In-Person Pickup

We love celebrating with you! Our preference is for you to pick up your finished ring in person at our physical location. Seeing your reaction when you first lay eyes on your forever ring is one of our favorite parts of the process. In-person pickup ensures we can confirm the ring is sized properly, exactly what you envisioned, and ready to wear.

Shipping Option

We understand that life sometimes makes an in-person pickup impossible. For this reason, we offer a secure shipping option:

  • Flat Rate: A non-refundable fee of $99.00.
  • Service: This covers UPS (United Parcel Service) 2-Day Shipping.
  • Protection: Your ring will be fully insured for its full value.
  • Security: A signature by an adult (21 or older) is required for delivery.
  • Applicability: We only ship to addresses within the continental United States and don't ship to PO Boxes or Private Rental Mailbox businesses. 

2. Our Return Policy

Our bridal rings are not mass-produced; they are custom-designed or made-to-order specifically for you. Because of this unique, personalized process, it is difficult for us to resell a ring made to your exact specifications. For your protection and ours, please understand our strict policies regarding returns.

A. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are considered FINAL SALE and are NOT eligible for return, exchange, or store credit under any circumstances:

  1. Custom and Semi-Custom Jewelry: This includes all custom engagement rings, semi-custom engagement rings, and personalized fine jewelry.
  2. Made-to-Order Jewelry: Items produced only after an order is placed are final sale. This includes the majority of our wedding bands.
  3. All Deposits: All center stone deposits and any other associated deposits are final and non-refundable.

B. Manufacturer's Defects

In the extremely rare event that your ring has a problem due to a manufacturer's defect (a flaw in the craftsmanship or material that is not due to normal wear and tear), this situation is covered under our separate Warranty Policy. Please refer to that document for details on repair or resolution. A manufacturer's defect is not a basis for a cash refund.

C. Consignment Program

We understand that, on a very rare occasion, your circumstances may change after you have purchased a ring. In this unique situation, a return or refund is still not possible. However, we do offer an option to help you transition the ring to a new owner through our Consignment Program via our sister company. Please contact us to discuss this option.

D. Unapproved Returns

You must contact us and receive approval before shipping any item back to The Golden Gem for any reason (e.g., warranty repair, consignment discussion).

  • Any order sent back to us without prior written approval will be subject to a return shipping fee and may be returned to you at your expense.
  • Unauthorized returns may also incur additional processing fees.

E. Deposit Transfer Exception (Non-Custom Items Only)

While all deposits are final, in limited situations where the deposit was not applied to a customized or personalized piece, we may, at our sole discretion, allow the deposit amount to be transferred toward the purchase of a different item in our inventory. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
