Warranty Coverage
We offer a one-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in material and workmanship.
If the damage is deemed a manufacturing defect, The Golden Gem will, at our sole discretion, either:
- Repair the damaged item.
- Replace the item with an item of equal value or the same style (Replacements are a one-time courtesy and do not renew the warranty period).
What Is NOT Covered (Exclusions)
Our warranty does not cover general wear and tear, or damage resulting from improper use or accidents, including but not limited to:
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., minor scratches, metal thinning over time).
- Loss of gemstones caused by damaged, worn, or loosened prongs from everyday use or impact.
- Loss or theft of the item.
- Discoloration of precious metals due to exposure to chemicals (e.g. cleaning solutions, chlorine/hot tubs, etc.).
- Issues with prongs that are caught on clothing or other items, resulting in them being loosened, bent, or worn out.
Voiding the Warranty
The warranty will be considered void under the following conditions:
- If the jewelry item is repaired or serviced by a jeweler other than The Golden Gem or its authorized partners.
- If the item has not been maintained to an acceptable level, resulting in it losing its integrity (e.g., significant neglect or purposeful damage).
- Required Maintenance: The item must receive a complimentary Clean & Check service by The Golden Gem or one of its authorized jewelry partners at least once every six (6) months. Failure to provide proof of this service upon a warranty claim will void the warranty.
